Spring School Holidays on the Mornington Peninsula

Holidays! Time for teachers to rejoice and parents to lament, and for those of us who fit into both of these categories…well, let’s just look for some small wins in the next few weeks. The sun is shining, the evenings are becoming balmy and the outdoor lifestyle we love on the Mornington Peninsula livens up.

Here are my suggestions for ways you can make it, move it and see it these holidays. Oh, and a couple of suggestions for free activities because isn’t that everyone’s favourite ‘f’ word?

Get out there and explore the Mornington Peninsula these spring school holidays!

Playgrounds – My pick is the Rosebud Foreshore Playground at the beach end of Jetty Road. Featuring all the things that bring joy to a kids heart, slides, climbing nets, swings and flying fox! Also the essentials all parents look for…toilets, undercover areas + BBQs. Also, just a step away is the boardwalk and most obviously the beach + pier. To finish off the playground experience, take a short stroll over to the shops for some well earned ice-cream or coffee!

National Parks – Short strolls for the little families or long hikes for the older kids, you can choose your own adventure in our national parks. From the crisp air of Red Hill to the rugged coast line near Cape Schanck, the Mornington Peninsula National Park encapsulates the essence of the peninsula.
